Standing tall, Animal Kingdom Park, Disney World

Kilimanjaro Safraris, Animal Kingdom Park, Disney World

Starting today I will be posting my favourite photos of our Disney World trip in January 2008. Complete galleries of the Parks of Disney World will be posted soon.
In this trip I only carried my Canon 5D camera and 2 lenses: a Canon 24-105mm f/4.0 IS and a Canon 15mm Fisheye lens. The Canon 5D does not have onboard flash. Thus it is quite challenging to cover a huge variety of shots with such limited equipment.
This shot was taken on a safari vehicle in motion on a bumpy road and I am glad that my gears did not fail me. Enjoy.

They are indeed tall. Great exposure, excellent isolation. Yeah the lack of flash on the 5D makes the 30D/40D a handy walkaround camera. Still you have those high ISOs! No telephoto for a safari.... ouch ;-)

How many would make this a landscape picture - not so many we think - mostly would make this a portrait image - but what you have made here is a proof of PRO eyes "picturing the world"! GREAT job! ****** V :)

Terrific shot, Simon! The bird is so majestic against the black background, and the plants framing him are beautifully lit - as is the bird, too.. V!
