Saturday and Sunday, April 16th and 17th, were beautiful Spring days here in Connecticut. With the spring runoff, the rivers were flowing and there were many opportunities for kayakers and rafters to take a wild ride on whitewater.
This photo was taken at Bull's Bridge in Kent Connecticut (Housatonic River, Class 4 rapids; large, long and difficult; usually requires precise manuvering). It's a fairly easy hike to the river with plenty of places to get out on the rocks, set up a camera and enjoy the outdoors. The Appalachian Trail also runs through this area and provides other photo ops. More information on this area can be found at http://www.americanwhitewater.org/rivers/id/448
