As winter comes, Aspen leaves turn a beautiful yellow - this one had changed and recently left the tree.
It came to rest on a snowy railing, then the extra warmth absorbed from the sun helped the leaf melt through the snow to rest on the railing itself. This time of year the weather can change drastically from one day to the next - snow being followed by 70 degree days (or more).
