I work with a group that helps manage the feral cat population by spaying and neutering, adopting the ones that can be adopted and taking care of the ones that are too feral to live anywhere but in the wild. Thus the theme of change for this photo lies in the change we attempt to make in the population of feral cats, stabilizing as far as practical the feral cat population and preventing colonies from growing boundlessly.
This cat is part of a large colony, living near a rendering plant - making for some happy cats. But even these cats need regular feedings to stay healthy, which the group provides.
