Surprise!

Yesterday I was at the lake and was shooting a heron when I saw a bit of brown come into view and then disappear.
I assumed it was a squirrel and then all of a sudden his little head popped up from behind the rocks.
He scampered around and I was able to get a couple shots before he disappeared from site.

This photo is a major and severe crop due to the fact that he was at such a distance and I wanted to identify him.
I think it is a mink. I have never seen one in the wild before.
Sometimes it is better to capture a less than perfect photo just to document what is out there.

I will definitely return to see if he shows himself again.
