Across the street from the library is one of my favorite burger places and their fried onion rings are to die for! Decided to take Lucy over in front of the restaurant for a photo op.

Little did I know, that when I was hauling her out of the car, there were two gentlemen watching me from inside Big Star.
So I sat her on the ledge and went back to get her hat. I put her hat on and then started fussing with her dress to make her presentable.

Pretty soon this fella comes out of the burger place and struck up a conversation with Lucy and me.
Evidently, he and another fella were watching the scenario evolve and one said to the other that if I started talking to the "doll" then they would really start to worry...
and sure enough, I started talking to her as I was fixing her hat and her dress.

Guess Lucy and I gave them a good laugh.
