I was sitting at my computer with the radio on when the program was interrupted for a severe weather alert... there was a bad storm heading towards north Dallas. Looked at the weather map and sure enough it was heading our way.

Yelled to hubby... "Heading to the lake to shoot the storm!"... grabbed my gear and hit the road. In a matter of minutes a dark cloud was rolling in and there were whitecaps on the lake. When I approached the marina I could see a lot of activity as boaters scurried to pull their boats in.

Opened the car door to get out when a gust of wind slammed the door against my leg. These gusts were serious. Stood at lakeside and tried to get some shots but could barely stand without being buffeted by the wind, but still no rain.
