Waiting for the bus

Circular Quay, Sydney

This was taken with a Canon G2 which spurred on my decision to buy a D60. Not the sharpest but I still like it! This old man died in May 2003. He was only 62.

Thanks Carol. I was so sad when I heard he had died (back in May) as he was such a character but he lives on in many of my images in this gallery.

Cheers

I too love this one. The size difference of the couple as compared to the lonely little man really does express a sadness, doesn't it. At first the picture tricked my eye into seeing something that was a trick and not real, but then you figure it out, like a puzzle.

Hi Todd
Its the same old man which heads up my gallery on Candids of Sydney folk. He is certainly my favourite old feller and although homeless, is always clean and tidy. I guess the Sydney City Mission looks after him.

Cheers
Sheila

Here you have what appears to be the old lonely man in front of a picture of a young couple in love. There is reality. Great capture!
