3 March

Meersbrook Park, Sheffield

A change from my normal type of image today. One, it's outside and, two, it's in Black and White!
I couldn't miss out on the sunshine this lunchtime but I work in an industrial area with just this small park nearby.
Those of you who know my work will realise that I usually go for bright colourful images.
However, a few years ago I enrolled on a photography course, not realising that, that year it was going to be a B&W developing and printing course.
Anyway, I really enjoyed it although I got a bit stressed out taking the film out of the camera and putting it on the reel thingy,
then placing that in the developing tank - all in the dark!
One day, when I get a decent scanner, I'll have to scan the negs or prints in and upload them to PBase.
Looking back I'm so glad I did it as during the following years digital took off with a vengeance.

Beautiful detail in your b&w image ...

Years ago I had my own basement darkroom set up and used to love watching the images I shot come up after processing - so I can relate to your words! This is a beautiful shot of a 'tree tunnel' - and I think works beautifully in b&w.

Great shot, nice perspective and shadows across the lane.

Excellent shot, I think you could use a tad of contrast though

You've got hidden talents Sheena. This is a great photo
and I'm inspired to do some B&W soon.

Excellent b&w!

Very nice! It kind of makes you wonder, "Where will this road take me?" :-)

A great image.
Looks stunning in b&w and is a beautiful composition.
Love the shadows too.

WOW Sheena! I love this - because you have converted it, the verticals and horizontals really come to the fore, and it has one of those endless road feels about it. I often wonder what we can do in a lunch break, and even with uninspiring surroundings, there is often soo much you can capture.

Oh... I'm voting :)
