Bramall Lane, home of Sheffield United, was originally opened as a cricket ground in 1855, hence the name of the pub across the road.
It has been the home of Sheffield United (The Blades) since 1889.
Yorkshire's last cricket match at the ground took place in 1973. A new stand over the cricket square was then built and the stadium became four sided.
I'm a Wednesdayite myself, just happened to be visiting a shop nearby!
