Day 06, Saturday April 19th

In the morning we headed out toward Boston in the direction of northeast of 200 miles from New Jersey. Today we came to the National Shrine of the Devine Mercy, at Stockbridge, namely the Devine Mercy as known by the pilgrims. Our bus got lost at the Y crossing as we went up the hill, the turnaround of the Y took us to the National Shrine. We had the Mass scheduled for the morning, Fr Anthony Gramlich, MIC, Shrine Rector welcomed our group with preparation even with the national flag being raised in the altar. After the Mass, the healing was administered with oil anointment to the group of over 100 people, many was received the blessing and rested in the spirit, everyone felt strong in the spirit. Some stopped by the bookstore/gift shop, and most of people were ready to go after picking up some gifts for the memory. The center was driving funding for a larger shrine being built to accommodate larger pilgrimages in the thousands every year, the gifts of thanksgiving and grace were received today through the blessing of healing.

We headed back on the road and stopped for lunch on the road. We came to the last pilgrimage stop at National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salle, Attleboro. We lost at several turns, when we got to the church the Mass was just started, we came in discrete entry and found our own seat, the church attendance now increased in number from out-of-town visitors. The parish priest introduced our pilgrim group to the congregation during the mass, who came from California (implying other states on the west and east coasts). At the end of the Mass, we had a private audience with the parish priest who explained about this center open year-around for pilgrimage, the pastor extended special blessings to the group before said the farewell in warm welcome. We went outside to the altar on the lake; the outdoor shrine was quite large with a wide walkway over the water to the Shrine of Lady of La Salle. The terrace was very vacant, except us. Some of us stopped by the indoor Shrine, open next to the church, where the blue praying candles were arranged in great numbers winding within the room, the shrine was very warm from thousands of burning candles. Off on the bus we went to the hotel for the night. At the hotel we held a prayer meeting for any personal, private praying requests. Most of people in our bus 2 came, we had a large group more than expected gathered by the hotel indoor pool, we had a family of special guests coming to see a friend in the group; a divine meeting and powerful prayers from the assembly.

Day 07 Sunday of April 20th the LAST DAY

Today we went dry in spirit, there was no Mass at any church location since we were ready to go to the airport this afternoon, yet we resorted to our prayer with the rosary and faith sharing, among other stories and songs on the bus.

Our first stop was Cambridge to have some breakfast by Harvard University. We stopped here for some time to see the campus, and its surroundings, we then headed out to visit the old Boston Harbor and its historical market. On our way around downtown Boston, our bus did some detour avoiding road blocks from the Boston marathon. For lunch of the last day we stopped by the Boston Chinatown, no particular interest here except for Chinese foods. Some of us departed early at the airport going to the west coast. Everyone said the last farewell this afternoon, as expected yet abrupt as we checked on the flights. Most of us gathered at the Boston airport, hung out and exchanged info. The Pilgrimage was refreshing in my mind until I logged this journal reflecting some personal thoughts.
