CASIA De LUCIA

The Santos house was not far from the Martos, might have one or two more rooms. The house included the large yard entrance at the side door, and a sheep pen in the back. The cobblestone walkway of the side yard led to a large backyard of about one acre, IMG_9766, P1010963, P1010964, with scattered low orchards, and dry groves. This was the place where the Angel appeared the First and Third time, by the well, and prepared the children how to pray. No indication of the Fatima messages in the incoming year, yet a preparation stage for the children, in prayer.

The house was dedicated to the church several years ago.

SECOND Angel Apparition

This took place two months later, in the summer of 1916, when the little shepherds were playing near the well behind Lucia�s house. Suddenly the same Angel appeared to them and said: "What are you doing? Pray! Pray very much! The Hearts of Jesus and Mary have designs of mercy on you. Offer prayers and sacrifices constantly to the Most High."
"How are we to make sacrifices?" Lucia asked. "Make of everything you can a sacrifice, and offer it to God as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners."
The words were indelibly impressed upon the minds of the three little shepherds. From then on, they frequently recited the prayer which the Angel had taught them at the first Apparition, and began to offer many sacrifices to God.
