This morning while making breakfast I looked out to see this little gold finch out enjoying his bath in the fountain. It is still very cold but at least the water is not frozen. Make sure and scrub those little arm pits, or should I say, wing pits.

Imagine my surprise when I happen to lift the burner cover and see this nice little furry friend staring back at me. He kept walking about trying to figure out how he was going to get away from me. I carefully put the cover back down, ran for my camera and hoped he would still be there when I got back. I must have softy tattooed on my forehead because all these different critters seem to be unafraid of me. I got back, snapped about 15 photos and left the little guy alone. See you later little fellow.

I took the dogs out for a walk around the yard and of course the camera had to come along. So many plain and ordinary things caught my eye. There are an abundance of acorns which makes me contemplate how there is really no shortage of anything just the challenge of making it all useful and find ways to distribute it to the people who can use it. Huge challenge.

My little brother brought this to me a few days before Christmas. What a delightful surprise. It came in a metal box with film holders, black cloth, extra lens, and camera. There is a special compartment for a tripod but it was missing. What a great gift to add to my collection. Thanks Bro!!

Boy, the life of dogs at the Marasco House, What a LIFE! These guys used to wait until I went to bed at least before they got up on the sofa. With all this rain I am having pity on them and letting them spend most of their time inside. Heaven forbid it is time to go out and go potty.

This critter surprised me by showing up on my shoulder while I was carrying laundry to the washer. He is lucky to have survived. Startled, I brushed him off onto the top of the washer. Today I found him back wondering around the house. I took him out and introduced him to the snails on the front porch. He is welcome as long as he stays outside.
