One of the best sails in Southern California is a trip to the
Catalina Island, and there foremost to the town of Avalon.
Avalon Harbor has strict regulations about environmental behavior in
the harbor. Especially there is no discharge of any kind allowed.
Harbormaster comes aboard of every incoming yacht and inserts
fluorescent marker fluid into every head...
We sailed to this Island from Marina del Rey, Santa Monica and later from Balboa Harbor, Costa Mesa. Especially from Balboa it is a short and nice trip. |
