Day 5 (July 12), Sailing to Newport Beach
On the last day finally we could marvel a sunrise. On all other days early gloomy coastal stratus covered the entire morning sky. Before we departed all early risers went one last time ashore to Avalon for a quiet moment with a morning coffee and a piece of pastry. It was sad to have to leave: I know, we will be back! We departed at 9:30 and arrived at the Newport Marker 4 hours later, approx. at 1:40 and spend close to 1 and ½ hours for sightseeing of the Newport bay and its Islands. We docked around 3:10. |
