Indeed, what a horrible event. I hope that the figurehead collection was not under the deck as the fire happened. Luckily the entire rig has been stored off site for restoration.

Hello, your gallery of photos taken of greenwich and surrounding areas in 1990 is incredibly fascinating and well shot.As a resident of the area it is amazing to see how the area has chaged so much with regards to the development of the docklands,the area where the millenium dome sits and the and the development of the whole canary wharf estate.Thank you for these great photos and it would be marvellous if you could vist today and compare and contrast the differences.
