Richborough Fort

The fort at Richborough was built on the site of the Roman landing in AD43. At the time it was built, the fort was surrounded by water on three sides; the Isle of Thanet really was an island back then.

I returned to Richborough a couple of weeks after my first visit when English Heritage were staging a Roman reinactment event.

Some of my photos are now available to buy in a variety of sizes and finishes, or as digital files, at SerenityPhotography.co.uk.
