Whilst in Shimla, my cousin, Nigel, and I did a half-day excursion to get a bit of a look at the local countryside. The day started off clear, but by early afternoon it got so cold that we actully had a few flakes of snow! OK, they were only small ones, but still.
Highlights included a very well organised wildlife park (zoo, I guess, but most of the animals had plenty of room), and a horse ride - I'm not too good with horses, so was pleased that it was little more than a pony. I'd never seen a yak before that day, but by the end of the trip I'd seen a dozen or more...though we turned down the offer to dress in traditional local garb, and have our pictures taken on one! It was a great day, and here are some of the pictures from it.
Some of my photos are now available to buy in a variety of sizes and finishes, or as digital files, at Serenity Photography.
