She Was a Joy

Sadie - 1992 - 2006

I rescued her when we raided an Animal Shelter in 1992 and she gave us years of fun and laughter.
This morning we had to have her put to sleep so she would not suffer any longer from kidney failure.
She is buried in the back garden where she loved to sit in the sun.

She is very beautiful and so sorry about having to lose your friend.
My daughter takes in strays from time to time.
She has 6 cats and two dogs.
All well taken care of.
Great portrait

Cats are so independent yet they need love as much as any of us.
You provided the love when she had the need Coleen, your tribute is well done!

We will be thinking about you. But the joy is all the happy years you gave each other.

There is nothing sadder. If only they lived longer.

So sorry for your loss! She reminds me a lot of our Jasmine, who also brings a great deal of joy to us. Sadie was lucky to have been rescued, loved and cared for so wonderfully.

Awe Coleen, I'm so sorry to hear that you had to have Sadie euthanized. They really are so much a part of our families, and our hearts just ache when we lose our beloved pets. I'm sure that Sadie will be missed terribly.

Having an older kitty myself, (she will be 14 in February) not a day goes by that I wonder about the day she leaves me. My heart breaks for you and the ones who loved Sadie. Place a flower at her grave for me.

Coleen, a sad thing to have to do. We lost our Ashley,--last year. Haven't gotten over
it yet. They truly are family!
Guest 16-Nov-2006 16:40
They show love in a different way. Their personalities are all unique and they are very possessive. I have come to appreciate our feline and can understand your loss. Our hearts go out to you.

Really sorry to hear the bad news, I had to have one of mine put to sleep about seven years ago for exactly the same reason. It's hard enough to have to watch them suffer, but after we put her to sleep, I cried for days, damn near like losing a child.

Hang in there

I'm so sorry, but you did the right thing.
