This small strip of land juts out into Lake Pontchartrain from West End and across from the yatch harbor. In recent months it has become the center of entertainment and fishing in the daytime for the many migrant workers that have come to help the City's recovery. For about a century it has been a favorite place in late evening and night as a lovers' lane. An earlier rainstorm created water pools on the shore where I was photographing.
