My daylilies at Perilloux Place are blooming much too early. I usually plan mid-May parties around them. Not this year.

Daylilies are a part of my heritage, and I am especially fond of this really pale yellow one. Great photo. Warm winters are probably a factor in the early blooming, but I suspect surviving Katrina caused a lot of plants to try to reproduce as soon as possible. I noticed the same thing here after Ivan.
