This was my second trip into City Park after Katrina and my search for the swans. I brought bread and cracked corn in hopes of feeding them. All I found was one lone mallard by the little stone bridge who was happy to see me and my photographer friend. No one had been in the Park from all indications. It was about 98 degrees and the Park was desolate. The little bridge needed a cleaning to restore it to its former dignity.
My car was now well stocked with cracked corn, dog food and cat food. So many people went off and left their pets and I would feed them as I saw them.
