Yes I remember KRAUSS... The Foundation Department, The Candy Shop, The Fabric Department, Household items, annd just like New Orleans, The Cafe... There will never be another store like it.

My mom worked at Krauss for over 30 years. She's passed now, but there are so many memories. It was my home away from home, too! I miss it. This makes me miss her more, too.

Krauss is turning into condos!!!!! Gt out your checks books they start at a mere $200k. I to remember the days of Krauss and can't want to see how they look.

Of course I remember - Krauss was THE only store that catered to Black people during the time when Maison Blanche, D.H. Holmes & the like didn't want our $$$.
Got my Catholic School Uniform here (St. Peter Claver)..

I will alwys have fond memories of Krauss. My last little bottle of Emeraude was purchased here - should it become condo, I hope to move in one day.

Wow, Thats extremely hard to see, I was raised in Krauss it was my mothers creative refuge...RIP mom and the memories will never fade away. I can still remember what the 3rd floor (fabrics) smelled like.
