Angele M. Langles Memorial Bridge

New Orleans City Park

This bridge was constructed in 1902 with funds from a $650 bequest of Miss Angele M. Langles. The stones used are not native but were chosen for the romantic effect they created.
Angele and her mother died on July 4, 1898 when their French steamboat "La Bourgogne" collided with a British ship in the North Atlantic.

Great shot. Where to indeed. Looks like you get to the top and jump off? :)

It looks like the bridge to paradise. Nice soft light and muted colors. A fine place to be.

I've been to City Park on a few occasions and really enjoyed my walks. I so enjoy the architecture and colors of New Orleans. This bridge in this setting is very nice. I like how the texture of the bridge's sides compliment the texture of the palm tree.

Very nice Coleen. As expected, the parks are still very beautiful there.
