This is a conservation project to purify the water where the waterfowl live and to add beauty to Marsh Island. Besides the Louisiana irises there are cypress saplings and vetiver planted on the islands. The roots go down through the material (coconut husks) to the water. The vetiver is the progeny of the vetiver from Perilloux Place that my grandfather began growing in the late 1800's and I still grow it.
Coleen Perilloux Landry retains the international copyright not only for the original image but also for any versions of it.
