I have been photographing this eagle for almost 5 years now. Each year he and his partner raised a pair of eaglets. This year's pair is flapping their wings and trying to fly already.
In 2012 a hurricane destroyed its nest and when it arrived after migration, a new nest had to be built in time for laying of the eggs. This winter we had quite a few freezes and thunderstorms with high winds. The nest is at least 60 feet in the air in a cypress tree.
What a remarkable bird.
