National Champion - Live Oak (Quercus virginiana) in Lewisburg, Louisiana

This live oak (Quercus virginiana) has been chosen as the National Champion by foresters.
Named "Seven Sisters" and president of the Live Oak Society, it has a girth of 39 feet and a spread of 172 feet.
Foresters believe it to be over 1,200 years old.
