Southern Yatch Club

Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans

Four years after Hurricane Katrina's winds caused gas pipes to break and and burn down the Clubhouse, the Southern Yatch Club is reopening the new clubhouse.
The Club is the second oldest in the United States, founded in the early 1800's. The first clubhouse fell into disrepair during World War II and was demolished shortly after the War when the second one was built. The second one was the first fire casualty in Katrina.
