Pauillo, Hamakua Coast

About 36 miles out of Hilo headed towards Waimea you get to Pauillo, the last town before Honokaa.
Pauillo is home to the Hawaiian Vanilla Company, the only commercial vanilla farm in the USA.
If you are in the area, make reservations for their lunch. Vanilla flavoring is used extensively in the luncheon items. Today's lunch was Tuscan inspired.
