Breadfruit detail

Note the seeds inside the breadfruit. Seeds are not common so generally, the trees are propagated via root cuttings.
The Mutiny on the Bounty was all about Captain Bligh's journey to transport these trees from the Pacific (Tahiti) to the West Indies as cheap food for the slaves.

There are apparently seeded and unseeded types of breadfruit and I won't go into the Botanical details. Both the seeded and Unseeded variety are common in many parts of the West Indies. The unseeded variety is the most dominant in Hawaii. It is believed that the migrating Hawaiians brought it with them from Samoa to the islands.
