| Here we are inside Hurricane Ignacio once again. Its a nice sunny morning (at least where we are, high above the churning sea below). Someone once asked me if we ever saw birds flying around, trapped inside the eye. In a storm like you see here, we would be too high to spot anything as small as a bird flying below. However, during investigative missions on extremely young storms, we would fly much lower (about 1500 feet up), and we did sometimes see birds flying around. I didn't envy them one bit. |
