| This picture was taken about 5 minutes after the ones you just saw. Notice how close we are to the eyewall (on the extreme left of the photo). I know I mentioned it earlier, but it really was tough to stay in the eye of this typhoon! Also, note how straight up and down those walls are. Remember, we're 7000 -8000 feet up in the air, and those walls go quite a bit above us. |
