On my trip to Aceh after the
devastating tsunami, I met this
sister and brother in one of the
deserted streets. They told me that
they had lost their mother and father
to the "big monster" that came ashore
the day after Christmas in 2005.

I was immediately struck by how protective she was of her little brother. After reading your words, I saw why. Thank you for bringing faces and stories to a tragedy most of us cannot even imagine.
