Impressive shot, Scott. Why did you use the 70-300mm rather than the 400mm? I have the strong impression that the 400 is noticeably sharper. I still have not had the opportunity to get any birds-in-flight shots. That's will be a serious challenge to my abilities!

Nice colors and good composition. 300mm x 1.6? Was the camere still in autofocus mode? I couldn't even try to focus a bird in flight manually...
