I totally dig these series! One of the best photos I've seen! I like the lighter shadow because you don't immeidately realize or recognize that there's another image in the photo.

I like the lighter one as well. More mystery to it and it makes you really look for it and go, Whoa...
tossing my hat into the ring... I prefer the lighter one. More subtle. Though if you are looking for dramatic (and perhaps that conflict between the serene and the distrubing is what promotes greater dialog of the art work) -- the darker version definitely accomplishes that.
