My most recent photo journey wrapped up the 2004 road trip by traveling by car to Alaska and photographing much of the state reachable by car.
2004
My most recent and current photo journey takes me across the United States by car with my 2 year old Chocolate Lab and my 17 year old son, a tent, camping gear, camera equipment and a laptop. We left on 6/21/04 and returned on 9/1/04, a 73 day, 24,031 mile journey throughout the continental lower 48 States.
This follows a second career in photojournalism freelancing in the Central New Jersey area for a weekly and daily newspaper. Coming from a previous career in law enforcement my contacts within that community have given me an opportunity and access to breaking news events. I moved into the digital realm with a Canon EOS 10D system and lenses ranging from 16mm through 200mm "L" glass and all the necessary peripheral gear. Constructive criticism is welcome as I am striving to improve my style and technical expertise with this new equipment.
