Hello Bud. Im more inclined to join you on your photo expeditions now that I have a decent DSLR to shoot with. I just took delivery of my first one, a Nikon D80. Though I didnt have it with me the day of the Airshow. You might have seen the goofy looking kid in the brown hoodie.

thanks for the heads up. I'd been notified a couple of times and betterphoto took the gallery down, then it was posted again and taken down again. What a whacko. My shot even has my copyright on it. :0 It's a low res so they can't do much with it but I appreciate the heads up.

There is some misunderstanding here. I have a custom bracket. http://www.pbase.com/santa/image/28499780 I don't have the specific part numbers I ordered but www.custombrackets (with or without an "s"?) will have all the various parts. I use two 550's because I can use either fully manually or in full ETTL and either can be a master or slave. It simply doubles the light which gains a single fstop, but more importantly it softens the light and allows me to bounce the lght and throw direct light at the same time, for reasonable shadows. It's not the end all be-all, but it's a nice tool to have for sure.

Bud, love your pics - you capture beautifully the grandeur of Alaska's ski - I think it would be fascinating to see some pictures of the extremes that you go through to capture the pictures.

Thanks,

Nice photos man, and great halo skills.

I wish i was a photographer, but instead I work on abstract art, and 3 Dimensional animations.

Hi Bud...guess the site changes or maybe they are having some adjustments. Today there are only about 7 pictures available...or...that is all I could find. I told a friend of mine about your site and she had a similar experience. She said that she couldn't enlarge a photo...guess I will go back and give it a try. Otherwise, it is great to see your gallery. I got the printer today...no paper though...guess I will have to wait until I go to town to get some...did you say Office Max? Anyway, I am 'making' myself read the directions...not my thing, as you know. Pretty nifty little outfit though. Glad you are loving your new camera...forget what you got. Thanks again...maybe my next Sunday I will have figured things out and can get away for a 'photo shoot'...would be fun. Bev
