This shot is taken from a batch I shot on holiday, last november. This small church sits on a hillside overlooking a loch, which you can just see down the hill to the left. Unfortunately, the sun was in completely the wrong place, leaving the near face of the building in shadow, but I think I succeeded in getting a reasonable compromise exposure, getting detail in this side whilst not burning the sunny side out completely.

I am planning to get a gallery of these Scottish shots on pbase, when I get a chance. In the meantime, I hope that this will be of interest.
