The Canon Digital Rebel (300D)

These are my images from the Canon Digital Rebel. What a camera! This is my first digital SLR camera with interchangable lenses. So far I have the "kit" lens, the EF 75-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM, the EF 100mm f2.8 Macro, the EF 50mm f1.8, and the EF 28-135mm IS, USM. In addition, I have the Canon EF550 Speedlite Flash. Recent lens aquisitions include the EF 17-40mm f4L, the EF 70-200mm f4L, and the Sigma 150mm f2.8 macro. I've also been doing a fair amount of experimentation with the Kenko Extension Tubes and the Canon MT-24EX Twin Flash for macro work.

I'm a firm believer in judicious use of post-processing with my images, so, unless stated otherwise, all images have been postprocessed in PhotoShop. Enjoy!

Jim, Enjoyed looking at your photos on your web site. Great pictures! I enjoyed your workshop at Callaway Gardens yesterday. You gave me good info about my camera (Canon D300 Digital). When I come back to your class in March at Callaway I will have bought a 2.8 - 100mm Macro lens (Canon). I downloaded my pictures on my computer after you let me borrow your100mm macro. and some came out ok, still have a lot to learn about my camera and the macro lens. Thanks again. Very inspiring Jim. I have a Canon Rebel too and am awaiting (very impatiently) a new 28-135 IS USM lens. Love the photos you have taken, and took extra pleasure in the ones taken with this lens. Jin, out of the set of lenses you have, which one spends the most time on your camera? Why?

I am thinking about the Digital Rebel. Nice shots. I probably would use mode 2, which represents D10´s standard settings, less saturation, little more dynaic range, less contrast, less sharpening and such stuff.

doesn't look like you'll need a whole lotta studying for this camera. pics are great. skin tones are strikingly nice, what i'd expect the S2 to look like.
