Wild Horses are the emblem of the Nevada quarter, and a beloved by many Nevadans. But not always.
They struggle against the desire of many ranchers here to be rid of them. It's an ongoing battle,
and if it's lost, we and our children, and children's children, will miss out on something beautiful.

These horses are much healthier than the few thin, weak looking roaming horses we saw in Monument Valley. Of course it is so dry and grass is so sparse there. Many don't survive the winter they said. Don't how they make is through the summer's heat either. Great gallery!!! V
