This was a wonderful surprize for me, since I've rarely seen owls in the wild and then having the privilege of seeing so many at once.
It was hard to count, since the trees were so thick with branches, but I'd guess at least 40 or more barn owls were in this one small stand of trees.
They are fantastic creatures, and it was so exciting to have the chance to obaserve and photograph these special bird friends.
