Diademed Sandpiper-plover
Been shamelessly re-named as simply Diademed Plover recently, although for me will always remain DSP.

Upland Goose
As you can see from this photo the males (white one) and females (brown one) are strikingly different.

Flightless Steamerduck
Whilst in Patagonia we saw many more of the strictly marine Flightless Steamerducks, compared to Flying Steamerducks (that can be found both in fresh and saltwater environments). We managed to see both species during a morning driving south of Punta Arenas, towards Fuerte Bulnes, where this bird was photographed. This coastal road also produced Dolphin Gulls, Ashy-headed and Kelp Geese, and Black-browed Albatrosses, and Southern Fulmars were both moving offshore.

Upland Goose
Also known as Magellan Goose.

Ashy-headed Goose
This bird was found in a mixed sheldgoose flock on Tierra del Fuego, that also held a pair of the scarce Ruddy-headed Goose and a number of the very common Upland Goose.
