I spotted this re-released 80's "classic" at Tower Records.
This is the ULTIMATE "loser" film!!! Of the same genre as
"Porky's," but definitely more meaningful.
Lawrence Monoson brilliantly plays the "loser" in the movie.
The acting is not the greatest, but he fits the role so perfectly
that it makes you wonder if the guy is the same loser in real life.
The movie also effectively, if somewhat redundantly, makes use
of classic 80's cuts like Journey's "Open Arms" and The Commodores'
"Oh No," during key scenes. Songs by U2, The Cars, REO Speedwagon,
and others round out the eighties experience.
If you know how it feels to have "lost" in life, if you know how it
feels to be oh so nice, only to get screwed over, then dudes and
dudettes, check this movie out! It is reference material and earns
the Gold Star Double Kosher Award.....KOSHER!!!KOSHER!!!
