Can't escape it. The USA and indeed, the world, is going through
some rough economic times. Rising gas prices, rising food prices,
food shortages, rising rents, unemployment...
Spotted this scene. "Linens 'n Things," another generic "Bed, Bath, Pots"
type store, closing up shop. Someone told me, only "a few select stores"
will close, but the company is intact. Yeah, right. They told me the
same thing about CompUSA, a place I liked much better than Staples.
But CompUSA went under, and that took me by surprise.
Even the X-Man is feeling the crunch. Sold off lots of worthless gear,
and I regret selling each piece. But hey, I gotta eat too. Can't buy no
more digital cameras cause they lose value so fast. Want a new toy,
but can't buy it, WON'T buy it.....Or will I? :-)
