Nagoya (名古屋市) Castle, Toyota Museum - Japan 2008 (9)
• This castle was built by Tokugawa Ieyasu or his 7th son ca. 1610. Most of this castle was destroyed during WW2 bombing and has been rebuilt. It was a significant castle during the Edo Period.
• Toyota, トヨタ自動車株式会社, (named after founder Toyoda), started as a successful weaving business with an innovative loom. In 1933, an automotive division was added in Nagoya. The Toyota Museum showed weaving machines and the earlier Totoya cars. The 1st one was a Toyoda with the name changed to Totoya with double "T's" for better pronunciation. There's a robot which plays a trumpet with great nuance and thrills audiences young and old.
