Pipa have thin skin, very juicy yellow flesh, and a delicate sweetness and flavor. Close to being a perfect fruit as it's easy to peel with your fingers. The loquat is used for treating coughs and is used as an expectorant in Loquat and Fritillary Syrup: Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa, one of my favorite cough remedies.
