I've seen this photo several times, yet you have just raised goosebumps on my arms and legs
again. I must be getting soft ... a sentimental old fool. Ruth, your photos of rich culture, colors, feelings, expressions and adventure travel seriously move me. This is not bogus flattery or flowery words. You intoxicate me. For many of us, the realm of the senses is the goal and destination we try to reach with our cameras. You seem to start at that point then do something profound and poetic as you carry us to a much more complex set of feelings. I can't resist the power you have of making me daydream and travel with you vicariously. It's just great.

It's a very strong photo. You've managed to capture a very intense and private moment of a woman lost in her prayers in a way that we don't find invasive at all. It's a plasure to look at this one.

It's real. Your photos touch hearts and souls.

It is the intimacy of your close up, abstracted vantage point, and the intensity of her chant and grasp, that expresses the human value of devotion here, Ruthie.

You abstract her well Ruth and we get a very close and private view of her faith, which spills out of tis picture.
