I just look at your images and wonder where do you get your ideas and ispirations.
I love your gallery. It's refreshing and you hold to no rules but your own. I can tell you see the picture even before you look thorugh the camera.
magnificent images no matter where I look in your gallery. this one in particular catches my attention.
Well done.
You are masterful at using photographic form to express a psychological state, Ruthie. Normally, this street would be a dark, confining passage, a place made for another time. But instead of trapping yourself within the dark and forgotten past here, you choose to open the image up by deliberately making it flat and overexposed, and in doing so, you make it seem transparent and free. You liberate yourself from all expectations here. A man comes towards you, but he does not notice you. A tiny dog dares to walk the ancient cobblestones by itself, almost floating on air. It, too, will soon glide past you. You feel exhilarated to be on the same street with them, a street free from pressure, expectations and confinement. A remarkable summation of how this visit to Paris must have felt to you, Ruthie.
