The Madill 4800DS was developed for 'Dryland Sort' applications, hence the 'DS' designation. These machines were set up
a little different than the logging shovels, as travel and swing power were less necessary, but speed and smoothness
were much more desiredable. Also, the horsepower on the DS machines was much higher, as no risk of damage to finals, etc
existed on the flat blacktop. Extra boom guarding was added for the stick and heel cylinders on this machine as well.
