24 LeMons is a fundraising 24 hours Le Mans style endurance race where the rules are the car must be purchased for $999 or less and the entry must be in a theme. Only mods allowed are suspension but I suspect there were a few cars that were very quick for what they were.

Sounds like a light hearted 3 days of setup & race. But every one was pretty gung ho but paint swapping was minimal. Most cars survived without an engine transplant. Modern engines are pretty durable to survive 15 or so hours at max revs

Oh yeah, this team was raising money for prostate cancer research.
